The top five benefits of sipping coffee

Not usually the one to choose coffee as a drink of choice to help me start my day. I began reading the benefits of having one cup of coffee each day and the number of beneficial things it does for the body. Let’s take a look at the top five benefits of sipping a hot cup of coffee. At any point during the day.

1. Drinking Coffee Aids in Your Memory

If you’re like me, getting up there in age, your memory starts to slowly decline over the years. You’re no longer able to create a shortlist in your head for day-to-day tasks. You may forget directions or what you walked into the grocery store within a split second. Studies have shown that a daily intake of coffee, sometimes two to three times a day, increases your memory and lowers the risk of developing the old Alzhe aka Alzheimer’s disease.

2. Drinking Coffee Increases your Energy Level

Blah! Let me tell you. I’m always exhausted by the end of the day. There are times that I have fallen asleep fully dressed. And that’s because of my energy level. Depleted by, hold on…by 5 PM! I can’t begin to tell you the many times I have arrived home after a long day of work to now my second job and searching frantically for my second wind. However, I started drinking coffee one day.

And realized that it kept me going until it was time for bed at 9 PM! I’m now a firm believer. That coffee has given my body. And cells the boost it needs. To make it through the day. Without feeling sluggish. And searching for energy. To complete my second job. Of being a wife and mother. In general, coffee increases many brain functions. That includes memory, mood, energy level, and reaction times.

3. Rich in Antioxidants

Our Health is an essential part of our well-being and let’s face it, we all like to look and feel good. Some studies have continued to show that coffee contains a high level of antioxidants including higher than most fruits and vegetables. Plus coffee may in fact be one of the healthiest drinks on this planet.

4. Coffee and ADHD

I currently serve as an educator. And if I had known the benefits of giving coffee to kids that suffer from attention deficit and hyperactivity. I would have been passing out coffee. Like, every morning before class. Research has shown that the caffeine component of tea and coffee can aid in concentration and focus.

5. Coffee and Physical Performance

Yes, the most important part of my day. I would have to say. Is being physically adapted. And ready for a runner! Because I’m always moving. And on the go in my field. And must maintain some level of physical fitness. To complete with the little ones. Who keep me active. Caffeine is a source of energy to do just that! Also, it is a stimulant. That signals the fat cells to break down fat in your body. This makes fatty acids available to be used as fuel.
